The Vauxhall Meriva B (Mk2) that came out in 2010 uses a TRW hydroelectric power steering pump.

The pump is prone to failure, which results in a complete loss of power steering, sometimes the failure is intermittent but usually, the failure becomes total.

The vehicle will display a steering failure message on the information display in the dash usually with a service code of 68. The only solution is to replace the power steering pump.
