Porsche 997 Steering Rack

The Porsche Boxter 997 steering rack has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components have been replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part.

We recommend that the steering pump is also changed at the same time as the steering rack, as swarf in the power steering system can damage both the pump and the rack, this can be added on as an extra at the time of ordering and it will give a discounted price as a bundle. However if you only decided to have your steering rack replaces and we discover that the rack bar is scored upon the return of your exchange item this will means there is swarf in the system we would strongly recommend to have the pump changed as well but it will be at the full cost including postage. However if you decide not to have both parts of the system changed and we have advised you of swarf in the system, future warranty claims that may occur as a result of this will not be valid. Both items sold would be on an exchange basis.
