Porsche 924 Steering Rack Reconditioning Service

This is a bespoke rebuild service for a Porsche 924 power steering rack. We will collect your rack, recondition it and return it to yourself within 10 days.

All units are completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components will be replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part. Please phone us if you need further information.

We recommend that the steering pump is also reconditioned at the same time as the steering rack, swarf in the power steering system can damage both the pump and the rack, this can be added on as an extra at the time of ordering and it will give a discounted price as a bundle. However if you only decided to have your steering rack reconditioned and we discover that the rack bar is scored and this means there is swarf in the system we would strongly recommend to have the pump in as well but it will be at the full cost including postage. However if you decide not to have both parts of the system reconditioned and we have advised you of swarf in the system, future warranty claims that may occur as a result of this will not be valid.

If you are interested in purchasing a reconditioning service for your own steering rack, we just want to make you aware that the item will need to be packed well into a cardboard box with protection inside. As the customer you will be responsible for properly packing and labelling the parcel with our correct address, you can find this on our Contact us page. DPD will not collect or be able to deliver poorly packed parts. You are liable for your own parts and we hold no responsibility for them until they reach our possession. If the part has to be replaced it will be at your own cost. There is no guarantee that we can recondition your part, it depends wholly on the condition of the part when it arrives with us, if for any reason we aren't able to successfully recondition your unit, we can either look to source a replacement for you for the price of our exchange units or we can return your unit for a refund, the only charges to pay will be the carriage cost.
