Electric and Hydraulic power steering
Reconditioning a power steering rack, pump or box is a process whereby a used unit is carefully cleaned, stripped, checked and rebuilt using new replacement parts, before being methodically tested to the highest standards.
At Western Power Steering, we pride ourselves on the integrity of our reconditioning process and have over 35 years of experience in providing this service to our customers.
We are able to recondition electric power steering racks and columns by replacing broken internal electrical components and parts by putting in her stronger core parts that are more hard waring. All units are complete ly stripped when they come into us, they are tested on our high end computer testing equipment so we can see where exactly the fault is coming from. We are then able to fix these problems and rebuild the units to a very nigh standard.
We have leading technology that allows us to rebuild new electric steering racks, our testing machines also allow us to code 90% of our electric parts to your vehicle. Please always check wether the part you are buying will need any additional coding.
STEP 1: CLEAN
All units are initially washed free of any dirt.
STEP 2: STRIP
Units are then completely stripped down.
STEP 3: WASH
All component parts are then individually washed by hand.
STEP 4: CHECK
All component parts are then carefully examined and checked. Any worn or defective parts are disposed of.
STEP 5: REBUILD
Every unit is rebuilt by hand using new component parts.
STEP 6: TEST
Every unit is thoroughly tested on our test rig to the highest standards before being supplied or refitted for our customer.
