In 2017 Volkswagen upgraded the Crafter to the second generation, this vehicle uses a modern electric steering rack.
These units can fail in a number of ways, the steering can start to go heavy on the vehicle and this may illuminate a warning on the dash. The assiatance may also become intermittant, once the steering starts to fail the steering rack will need a replacement.
This steering rack will fit vehicles with the following part numbers:
- 2N2 423 061 H
- 2N2 423 061 HX
- 2N2 423 061 FX
- 2N2 423 061 Q
- 2N2 423 061 T
The Volkswagen Crafter MK2 electric steering rack has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components have been replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part.
