The Vauxhall Astra J steering rack has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components have been replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part.
The Steering on the Astra J usually starts to fail and becomes stiff as the steering rack looking communication to the sensors. The power steering control module within the rack is usually the cause of this steering malfunction. This usually comes with a fault code from the vehicle of DTC C0710. Once you have this failure this rack will need to be replaced.
C0545: Torque sensor failure code. This code will also need a replacement unit.
When we supply this rack we are able to preprogrammed it specifically to your vehicle using your registration, as this make the steering rack a personalised part that is specific to you it CANNOT be returned unless it is faulty. These racks must be preprogrammed by us before dispatch otherwise they will not work in your vehicle.
