The Vauxhall Astra K steering rack introduced in 2016, has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components have been replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part.
The Steering on the Astra K usually starts to fail and becomes stiff as the steering rack looking communication to the sensors. The power steering control module within the rack is usually the cause of this steering malfunction, it can also be caused by water ingress into the unit and the connectors. The power steering can become intermittent and assistance may be lost, this can sometimes be restored by turning the vehicle off and on again. The steering rack can also become noise when turning left to right, both of these issues will result in a replacement rack needing to be fitted.
When we supply this rack we are able to preprogrammed it specifically to your vehicle using your registration, as this make the steering rack a personalised part that is specific to you it CANNOT be returned unless it is faulty. These racks must be preprogrammed by us before dispatch otherwise they will not work in your vehicle.
